When I found out this song was on the Sex and the City movie soundtrack I got really excited because I almost chose this song last week. The judges told me to watch the higher notes so I chose this song which kinda stays in the middle register so I don't have to strain my voice to hit the notes. Also, it's a fun song that has an oldies vibe which is really my thing.

It's been a tough week this week. Judges seem to be on edge, after what I feel were alot of rough performances.

But for you, for me, for you. Mercy ...

It worked. It was lightyears better than anything you did on Idol with the exception of Corinne Bailey Rae - and right now I feel you're ahead of the learning curve. Hell, I think you may even be the female to beat after a stumble by Mandisa this week.

But you're always an unpredictable element. So I'm gonna be keeping my eye on you, to see if you've really started to realize who you are as an artist. And if you did learn, then you're going to be around for the long haul.
