This has always been a favorite country song of mine. I love how it starts out innoncent with the little boy not wanting a girl to go fishing with him, and the story progresses to them falling in love, having a baby, and him praying to save his wife's life. It is just a beautiful song.

It is Elliott, a beautiful song. But I don't think it was a beautiful performance. This was very average for me. So i'll give you a C for this week.

Congrats! You just hit this song to its highest point with you being able to hit the right notes & choosing the right song. This was a great improvement form last week!

I agree with Simon! It was really a great improvement from last week. It was the perfect song choice for you, and I think if you keep choosing that right song, you can go far in this competition.

I have to say when I first thought about Elliot and country night, I was a bit scared for you. I mean you have that soul, and the wrong song could be an absolute nightmare.

Fortunately for you, you picked the right song. You took all that soul that you have and converted in to true emotion. Emotion that I felt with every single word of that song and that is one of the things I feel is important to pulling off country music effectively. So just like Danny, you have made a turn for the better - and I applaud you.
